I believe it was during that same trip to NY, when he met Nixon, that Mr. Nixon took an instant dislike to the chicken pluckin' sonofabich - so not everyone was impressed or swooned over feedeleeto even then. Too bad Mr. Nixon didn't work more on his TV persona so he too could have impressed viewers enough to make a difference in the '60 election. We might then have been treated to a video of Mr. Sullivan interviewing a fallen feedeleeto behind bars.

Not that he deserves any, but ... poor fidelito ... and his really crappy shew!
Nixon was discounted by the MSM from the very start. Because media darling Alger Hiss - proven Soviet spy - was outed by Nixon, Nixon had to be demonized by the press. And he was! As was Whittaker Chambers.
The Leftist fellow travelers still defend Hiss and his spy buddies, while they continue to villify Nixon and the rest of the Cold Warriors.
Thank GOD, that the Cold Warriors won, and not the Commies!
