Monday Toothache Open Thread
I sure hope today isnt a preview of the rest of the week else I might as well just crawl back under the covers and stay in bed waiting for the weekend.
First, I have the granddaddy of all toothaches. The whole right side of my face hurts. Right now, one of my molars feels like someone is using a jackhammer on it. The pain is almost debilitating.
And I get to the office this morning hoping to finish up a couple things early and then go to the dentist. But I get here and my boss isnt in his office. I know he's here cause his car's outside. Then I hear him. He's in the restroom puking his guts out. Stomach virus.
He comes out of the bathroom and he's like six different shades of green. "Dude," I tell him. "You look like shit. Go home before you give me that bug."
Meanwhile, my face is still pounding. The jackhammer is still going strong. Digging deeper and deeper into my gums.
"I'm going home," my boss says to me. "And I need you to do me a favor. You need to go meet with the building official for the fire station project."
Wonderful. I dont know what's worse, my toothache, or having to go to the building department.
And it's only freaken' Monday.

My kingdom for a pair of pliers....
Consider this the massive toothache open thread. Use the comments section at your leisure.
And the first person who can tell me who the dentist is in the picture above gets a free Babalu tshirt.

We went to see "The Lost City" for a second time last night, this time in a little art house in Sarasota. It was a much different environment from our first viewing, in Miami, but as we left the theater I realized it was better the second time around. There were details, like bits of dialogue and some of the music, that I had missed the significance of the first time. That I was able to find something new in "The Lost City" barely two weeks after seeing it the first time convinced me that this is a great movie.

Dang, JSB, you could have held off for someone who doesn't have a shirt to answer. All that research time wasted...

Val,
Since that photo was taken from my website, as Pointy Head points out, it reminds me that George owes me a T-Shirt from last year.
I had meant to collect it this summer in Miami, but my wife and I are staying in Washington, D.C. until Sept. It will have to wait until Christmas.
Millo Ochoa will be 99 years old on July 4, 2006. He is the last person alive of those who drafted and signed the Cuban Constitution of 1940. I pray that he outlives El Verdugo.

I am new to this post. I am interested in knowing about Millo Ochoa. I have read several sites.
1-He was born in Holguin, right?
2-Was he also a dentist?
3-Does anyone know how Millo he was involved in the evidence that Chibas promissed to have against the Minister of Interior which led to Chibas shooting himself in national radio 8/4/1951?
