Screwgle

Inspired by this post at INDC Journal, I give you the news search engine bias conundrum in links:

Google News search engine, "Cuba" parameter.

Ask.com news search engine, "Cuba" parameter.

Dogpile news search engine, "Cuba" parameter.

AltaVista news search engine, "Cuba" parameter.

Yahoo news search engine, "Cuba" parameter.

Google biased?

Proof's in the pudding.

just goes to show that the censorship of information even the internet is not so hard to do. It's so sad. The tyrants fear ideas more than bullets. Well I guess that proves that the free exchange of information and ideas is the most powerful tool in the furtherance of liberty.

It didn't take long for the hippy types that started Google to realize what power they could wield with their search engine. They seem to put ideology before freedom; look at what they did to help China secure their totalitarian grasp on the internet in that commie slave society. Why would anyone think they would treat us any differently? Meet the new information tyrants.

PTG, they did not put ideology before freedom. They've done something much worse. They put money and greed before freedom. They sold their souls.

Most Odd:

why are Israeli intelligence personnel investing in Cuba
e.g.

it is most odd

Larry, that guy is not acting on behalf of the Israeli government. He is one of the loony politicians they have over there kind of like the Charlie Rangel's we have over here and he's acting on his own.

This post reminded me of the Google search I performed for Santiago Alvarez and Osvaldo Mitat, the Cuban-Americans implicated in a weapons trial. I was disgusted at what appeared on the screen. Check out the results: http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=Santiago+Alvarez+and+Osvaldo+Mitat&btnG=Google+Search

If you're interested, I've documented a long list of examples of search engine bias (particularly involving Google) at http://papers.ssrn.com/sol3/papers.cfm?abstract_id=893892
