Peste a guapo

Raul castro, as usual, spewing some serious caca at Granma:

GENERAL of the Army Raúl Castro, Cuban first vice president, affirmed Wednesday (June 14) that the cost of any U.S. aggression against the island would be greater than what Washington is willing to pay.

The likewise minister of the Revolutionary Armed Forces (FAR) remarked on the Cuban people’s success in preparing its defense, and particularly congratulated the Western Army on the 45th anniversary of its founding.

Assurance of victory is based on the blood of the fallen and on the rivers of sweat of Cubans who have worked to bring about our main goal – preventing war, the leader said during a ceremony commemorating the Western Army’s creation.

"However, if the enemy dares to attack us, every corner of our country would become a terrible hornet’s nest that would result in a number of enemy casualties far higher than U.S. public opinion would be willing to accept," he warned.

Fallen blood! Rivers of sweat!

Pffft.

BTW, that's the same exact evil enemy that supplies his island with the majority of it's food. That's the same evil enemy he and his decrepid brother want as tourists on their island prison.

Here's the kicker:

Likewise, he affirmed that Cuba would never let down its revolutionary guard, because "history teaches with more than enough eloquence that those who forget this principle do not survive their error."

"And that is how it will be," Raúl emphasized, "so that we can always shout in the empire’s face, ‘¡Viva Cuba Libre!’"

Viva Cuba que? There hasnt been a Cuba Libre in Cuba since the Coca Cola factories were closed down.

H/T Amanda.

Those dottering old fools think they can will Cuba to continue to be communist after deaths. I love it. The more they talk about it, the more they reveal their insecurity about their "legacy."

47 years is a long time but it's a blip in the history of the world. They'll be forgotten before the worms can eat their way to bones of their decaying bodies.

Does anyone else get the sense that lately these fools have been more vocal than usual as to what will happen when el viejo cagalitroso kicks the bucket?

There is the old diplomatic saying "official denial is confirmation." In other words Raul knows that the regime will not survive after the Castro brothers leave the scene.

Is this the only political platform that the Latin Left has? "Support me - the yanquis are going to invade." The Marx Brothers - Castro, Chavez, and Morales, have all used it one way or another.

This, plus the recent article where castro's physician said he would live to 140 years, tells me that he will die soon. There is no way a cult-leader like castro will permit so many references to his mortality in an honest fashion. castro has been surrounded by flatterers and synchophants for many decades. Now, when he is about to join his pal Zarqawi in hell, he is likely raging against the inevitable end we all face. After all, he is fidel, god of Cuba. How can he die?
This year could become a wonderful year yet, by the Grace of God.
