Syd Barrett, R.I.P.
It's a sure sign you're getting old when rockers who played music you heard when you were a pre-teen start dying off.
It was announced today that the founder of my favorite rock band died a few days ago. One of the founders of Pink Floyd, Syd Barrett was a visonary in the fledgling rock scene in the 60s. Along with Roger Waters he defined what rock was capable of by giving us great music that was definitely not run-of-the-mill.
Shine on you crazy diamond and rest in peace.
