Because we need a laugh...

Not even Shakespeare could write such a tragic comedy as what is going on in Cuba right now. Mainly because Shakespeare's dead, but also because he wouldnt know how to Photoshop.

Via good friend Ken at It Comes in Pints, we bring you the "Where is castro?" photoshop contest. Get ready to bust a gut laughing.

BREAKING NEWS!!!! fidel castro has been sighted and photographed:

Castro at mancamp.jpg

Hilarious hat tip to pototo for the image above.

LOL! Some pretty funny ones there. My favorites: ZZ Top, gay pride parade, and Splash Mountain.

Is that man camp?

unrelated to milk, but relevant to la vaca:

1) the first practical thing we can all do is update/replace/obtain voter registration cards. there is a huge mid-term election and there are enough American-born Cubans all over this country now to hire and fire congress members in practically every major district at will. in fact, our one friend among Dems.--Vt. Sen. Joe Lieberman--stands to lose this election without Cuban support, which would be a shame b/c he has actually been more loyal than Ileana.

2) have not completed the legal analysis surrounding a flotilla (jurisdiction) but am working on it. . .

3) along the same lines, the Herald's lead story was notably an inconsequential report about a "practice run" by coast guard at Port Everglades. Methinks it's practice at the ready for any contingency.

Now that's a classic. But doesn't he pitch a different beer?

Don't get picky

Check out this Canadian journalist's account of how he was treated this week on the island. Something is definitely up.

We should start a..."Where Is Raul?" photo shop. NOW THAT ONE could be interesting.

He has defiled ManCamp!

Posted by: George L. Moneo [TypeKey Profile Page] at August 4, 2006 12:14 PM

I have a feeling that if fidel showed up at ManCamp, that Val would be using him for live bait in a jiffy.

Posted by: conductor [TypeKey Profile Page] at August 4, 2006 12:18 PM

And pollute his canal? Never!

My fave is the Letterman entry ~ most appropriate and not far from the truth. Lefty birds of a feather.

Only thing Letterman needs is a ROUND table, rest he already has.

I'm with Conductor. If not bait, I can see fidel warming up the caja china... Of course, Vasl would then need to get a new one....

Posted by: Caltechgirl [TypeKey Profile Page] at August 4, 2006 12:34 PM

Shouldn't he be splayed over the caja china?

Posted by: jsb [TypeKey Profile Page] at August 4, 2006 12:38 PM

LOL, LOL, LOL, LOL!!!!!!My wife heard me and said it was a low, rumbling evil laugh!!! The ultimate paradox, contradiction, incongruity, absurdity!

Val, is that gator still hanging around? That might be better than feeding him to the sharks.

Posted by: Ziva [TypeKey Profile Page] at August 4, 2006 12:59 PM

Val: Love your blog...I'm a daily visitor, just started my own blog and linked to yours. Is that cool?
