Canadian journalist falls out of tree...

...finds reality when he lands.

From the Toronto Star:

Star's man in Havana caught by Castro

Star reporter in Havana gets a taste of official Cuba at its most oppressive

Read the whole illuminating thing.

Okay, of course I am aware of the truly repressive nature of the castro regime, BUT WHY AM I STILL SURPRISED? Why am I still surprised that people live under such repression?

And isn't it just.... stupid? I predicted today or tomorrow the "truth" would leak out, I can't wait to find out what is really happening in Cuba.... DWR

Dave,

This kind of treatment is exactly why journalists in Cuba cant be trusted to tell the truth. there IS NO TRUTH in cuba, only reality.

We keep reading all these stories with quotes by Cubans on the island condemning the exiles or the US written bythe very same reporters who are just as scared to report the truth. They know perfectly well that these quotes are laughable, yet they continue publish them.

I sent the Canadian reporter an email thanking him for his article and reminding him he still got treated better than any Cuban would have been in their own country!

Enjoy!

Just to show you how big the Castro propaganda is below is a link to a New York news agency that sponsers "news" from cuba everyday.
http://www.blythe.org/
Look under their "member sites' to see the Cuban dictatorship orgs they support.

This is how communists in the USA are involved with castro.

Remember the news from Cuba via the dictatorship comes in everyday through this New York City company

Can someone please send me a link or e-mail a link to where I can join up with Cubans to help bring this stalling to an end?

The next thing you know Chavez is going to be there with his army for the fucking funeral and all the Cubans in Cuba and Miami will be left sitting on their asses once again.

It's a good thing they did not find any Rocky and Bullwinkle tapes on him...I dunno if he could have explained Boris and Natasha to those concrete-heads.

Enjoying a pork sandwich at an upscale hotel .... by his own admission. Oh, life is soooo hard.

Serves him right. I don't buy for a moment that this moron didn't know any better how things are. Good thing he kicked his own derriere out of Cuba. I think they were ready to turn him into a pile of recycled material.

this article falls into the "no shit" catagory. in brief: "I went to an island ruled by a totalitarian military dictator, and, OH MY GOD! THERE'S OPPRESSION! DID YOU KNOW THEY OPPRESS PEOPLE THERE???"

like, what did he expect, free eye surgery? sheesh.
