raul castro Watch - Day 7 - Elvis Edition
I thought I saw raul castro yesterday at the deli of my local Winn Dixie. I was wrong of course. Turns out it was actually Elvis picking up a couple party platters of hot wings and finger sandwiches with two side orders of mashed potatoes and gravy.
We are on our seventh day of the raul castro watch and there has yet to be any news of any sightings. Some are specualting that he has not made any public appearances because his wife is gravely ill, but I still find it odd that the "provisional" leader of Cuba hasnt seen fit to address "his" people.
As the standard approach with everything Cuba related lately dictates, we are just gonna have to hurry up and wait.
In the meantime, let's all do the dead castro dance:

I wouldn't be surprised if a handful of generals are running the show at this point.
"From this day on, the official language of [Cuba] will be Swedish. In addition to that, all citizens will be required to change their underwear
every half hour. Underwear will be worn on the outside so we can check."

Yesterday (Saturday) CNNenEspaƱol carried an interview with Raul Castro. CNN announced that Raul C. had agreed to the "interview" with several conditions: 1)that it be passed in its entirety with no breaks (advertising)and that no questions be asked (not much of an interview, per se), and that it not be edited.
Side note: I understand that in Cuba it is pretty common knowledge that Raulis an alcoholic. Any truth in this?

You're probably more likely to spot Elvis then you would Raul at this point.

Did anyone see the interview in CNN? I've been watching all the news stations and so far raul is still AWOL.
