Good post Val! These folks tend to view castro and the Cuban reality like it is an hour long documentary they watched on A&E. You see NO ONE flocking to Cuba to live in castro's paradise. They may be stupid but they aren't crazy....

Were the eunuchs and artisans of ancient Rome as disconnected from the threat from Vandals and other assorted Babarians as these modern day crash-test dummies are from worldwide terrorism and tyrrany? It's hard to say if this group can lay claim to the title of the most self-absorbed "Un-reality based community" in history, but it's real close. If the West collapses under its own weight someday, it's because these people will become the political block that calls the "shots"- right into its collective body politic.

This is my first comment here. This site was recommended to me by a friend and I just love it! Your posts are awesome Val! Thank you for all you do.
In reference to the Michelle Malkin post, it is amazing. I read the one yesterday about Harlem and slavery and it blew me away. You are right on the mark!!

Val, you should post the idiotic responses you get to your post for laughs...

I would expect nothing less from the "People's republic of San Francisco" Even in the rest of liberal California they are considered out on the fringes.
Must be something in the water After all, it has the country's highest number of maricones y tortilleras....

"Epithet"...although I'm sure the ones throwing the rocks would've liked it to be your epitaph. (Sorry, I'm just a big ol' geek.)
Great post, Val. Keep shining that light.

It is, for some, quite easy to love a fidel castro from afar, but it's a whole different ballgame for those who have to endure the "world's longest reigning revolutionary leader."
And that's the bottom line. Because loony politics and ideologies hurt real people.

Great post Val! I am truly disgusted by all I've been readin as well and I can only hope that this people will understand one day what it is that the Cubans have suffered because of Castro.

You mentioned Noam Chomsky. In the book "Do As I Say (Not As I Do): Profiles In Liberal Hypocrisy," after Noam gives some speech in India blasting the US, an Indian guy asks how he can be so brave as to criticize his government so openly. Noam smirks and answers, "Because I carry a US passport."
These jerks know exactly how good they have it in this country.
(Incidentally, Noam has made much of his fortune working for the US military.)
