New Jersey Democrats: Ouch!

I had seen this story last week and hadnt had a chance to post on it, but looks like Democratic Cuban-American Senator Robert Menendez of New Jersey is in a bit of hot water.

Last week federal investigators launched a probe into whether U.S. Senator Robert Menendez illegally benefited to the tune of more than $300,000 from a rental-income deal he had with a nonprofit agency that received millions of dollars in federal contracts. Even liberal good government groups agree that the relationship may have violated congressional conflict-of-interest rules.

Read more about it here.

Val, just cuz this guy has Cuban roots doesn't make him any less of a crook than any other politician in NJ. We're expecting the Dems to excercise the Toricelli Option next week if this story can't be repressed in the MSM. Personally I can't stand his policies; he's been an utter failure especially with the gang violence, and he's forever yapping on about disarming the populace and having more gun control.

What was it that Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) said about the Republican "culture of corruption"?

"Judge not, that ye be not judged. For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again. And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye? Or how wilt thou say to thy brother, Let me pull out the mote out of thine eye; and, behold, a beam is in thine own eye? Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother's eye." (Matthew, 7:1-5)

Jersey politics:The Democratic machine in Jersey didn't really want to give Corzine's seat to Menendez but they owed him so they relented. Maybe they themselves have filed the charges against him to dump the Cuban and replace him with a more electable (non-hispanic) candidate. the "Z" factor see:

When things get hot and heavy in Cuba we're better off having Menendez in there. He won't turn his back on Cuba. We'll have at least three dem senators in our corner (liberman, nelson, menendez) and 1 democratic cuban american Sires (replacing Menedez in the house)

C'mon people, it's Jersey politics as usual. None of this should surprise anybody, especially those of us who live in Hudson County. But I'll stop here, before "they" stop picking up my trash, or PSEG cuts my electricity.

Robert Menendez is a douche bag. He looks like a prissy and talks like one too and besides, what real Cuban American would join the Democratic party - which is the Communist Party Lite to me. One has to be cautious of Cuban American democrats - my opinion.

He's leftwing. I'm not surprised.

Cuban agents have been interested in his corruption for years.
