And now the Pope, whose lecture did not deserve this response, apologized. It won't be enough of course, they won't stop until the world submits to Islam. It's infuriating.

I think this is going to be the start of a giant Islamic uprising all over the entire European Continent.
Boy this sure took attention away from the outrage over the Mohamed Cartoon controversey!

I think it is reprehensible that he apologized. If you are going to say something then stick to your guns and mean it or SHUT THE FUCK UP.

Uhmm guys, the pope didn't really apologize. Actually the pope hasn't said anything at all.
The Vatican says that "The Holy Father is very sorry that some passages of his speech may have sounded offensive to the sensibilities of Muslim believers," said Vatican Secretary of State Cardinal Tarcisio Bertone in a statement.
But he hasn't apologized for what he said, nor is he taking it back. That's what got all these peace loving not "evil and inhuman" muslims all wound up.

It's semantics, he may not have said I apologize but saying he is sorry they were offended gives license to the MSM to publish headline after headline how the Pope is sorry for remarks and offending Muslims. So they barbarians win the PR battle. The Pope should have stood by what he said, after all it was the truth.

Ziva, I'm sorry for this tit/tat, but it's not semantics.
First, the pope didn't say anything. It was the Vatican speaker who said how the pope felt. Not even a statement by the pope.
Second, it is not clear if the pope was "sorry" or "upset" there are two translations.
Third, feeling sorry/upset that you took offense of what I said, puts the blame on you for getting offended, not on what I said (or me offending you). You took offense to what I said, that's your problem - speaking of Muslims not you personally. Saying I'm sorry I offended you, gets the blame back on what I said, not on you, portraying me as the perpetrator. I think, judging by the headlines, the Muslims are aware of this and this has fueled their "outrage".
I don't think the barbarians have won anything, after all there is still headline after headline asking the pope to apologize; and he hasn't said a word. And now that he has the backing of European leaders I doubt that he will - not that I ever thought he would.
I'm so tired of this people behaving in the manner they are protesting - perpetuating the same stereotype that so offended them. sigh.
