Bizarro World
Remember Bizarro World in the old Superman comic books? This is our modern equivalent:
"'THE DEVIL CAME TO THE UN YESTERDAY... It Still Smells of Sulphur here... Bush, I have the feeling you are going to live the rest of your days as a nightmare... We need a psychologist to analyze Bush... YANKEE IMPERIALISTS GO HOME... Maybe we need to move the United Nations out of USA'... "
Update: Michelle Malkin, as always, has more as well as Stop the ACLU.
Update: Just received the following press release from Florida Senator Bill Nelson's office:
“President Chavez’ demagoguery is an embarrassment to the Venezuelan people who deserve better,” said U.S. Senator Bill Nelson, of Florida, a member of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee. “Such remarks have no place on the world stage.”

I guess the most frustrating thing about this fool is, you just want Uncle to stomp the caca outta him, which would be so, so easy. But a fifth class monkey retard (with apologies to the planet's retarded monkeys) like that is so unworthy as an adversary, what is one's favorite Uncle to do?
In the end...gonna have to stomp the shit outta him anyway.

We're gonna get spin out of this vile little rant; como siempre, my question is, WHERE is the outrage? Can you imagine FDR allowing Mussolini do this in his time? Can't figure out why we allow that moron to spew this #@$%!! on our dime.
After AH'M-A-DEMON-JOB did that yesterday, with OUR Secret Service protection.
The Texas ranch sun is frying W's brain.

chavez not only insulted the President of the United States of America, he attacked the dignity of the office of the presidency. That many dignitaries at the U.N. General Assembly giggled and applauded at chavez’s vulgar and disrespectful display is an indication that the U.N. as a credible organization is doomed. I agree with Val, get it out of the U.S. “and have Venezuela flip the bill like the US has all these years.”
That the MSM is not outraged by chavez behavior is incredible! Are they willing to overlook chavez’s insult to the United States just because they don’t like President Bush?
I sure hope all those giggling and applauding are on video tape. Let’s see what happens when they all come back begging the U.S. for a handout.
Gigi,
"The United States has the responsibility under international law to protect visiting foreign dignitaries."

I am not surprised nor particularly offended by Chavez's rant. I would expect nothing else from him. The reaction in the General Assembly does not surprise me either, but it does offend me. The Secretary of State should send the following letter to the UN immediately.
To: The Secretary General or whomever may be concerned,
Please be informed that due to current conditions at the United Nations, we have suspended all payment to the UN and all subsidiary or affiliated bodies or organizations. If a full and complete audit is conducted and all necessary reforms implemented, the US will consider resumption of payments. Any action taken to penalize the US by you will be considered an abrogation of the UN treaty with the result of immediate loss of diplomatic status by all UN missions and personel and the seizure of the the Turtle Bay property and other UN assets in the US by eminent domain.
Best regards,

That Nelson is on the hot seat because of his sandalista-worshipping junketing in the past to praise Chavez's 'revolution.' He's as tainted as Bill Delahunt. He's been in bed with the strongman, waltzing with the dictator and now the chickens are coming home to roost. Already one newspaper editorial, the one on RealClearPolitics today, names his name as a Chavez suckup.
