In the mail...

Got to the office this morning and had a package waiting for me. A huge thanks to Babalú reader Bob G. for sending me the dvd copy of PBS's "American Experience: fidel castro." I missed it when it was run locally, and look forward to seeing this documentary even if I know it will probably turn my stomach at times.

And another huge thanks to Bob G. for the donation that has come at a very timely moment. Gracias, Bob!

I dont like to ask Babalu readers for donations unless they are worthy causes or to help out with the Cuba Nostalgia Convention, but the Prieto household has had a few economic setbacks recently and if you've ever considered donating a few bucks via Paypal, now would definitely be a more than opportune moment.

That PBS special doesn't show all the warts of fidel and his regime but it's certainly not favorable to him either.
