October Surprise?
The Democratic party, recently boasting of their certain victories in the upcoming elections, unleashed, by a nose, their October Surprise in the form of John "You rang?" Kerry:
"You know, education, if you make the most of it, if you study hard and you do your homework, and you make an effort to be smart, uh, you, you can do well. If you don’t, you get stuck in Iraq."
Hubris incarnate, just in time for Trick or Treat.
I wonder how those men and women of the Armed Forces in Iraq, away from their little ghosts and goblins and swashbucklers and ballerinas this Halloween, feel about one of their "leaders" calling them idiots?

I doubt any of them care much about anything Kerry might say.

We veterans already threw that stuck-up-Boston-Fonda-groupy our fat middle fingers, that happened two years ago when we voted. As far as people I respect my fellow vets come at the top while that Manchurian candidate Kerry always comes in at the lowest point in the letrine. Today the A.H made the fraudian mistake of taking on my own boy in the 3/2 Marines now at the front lines, wish he and his San Francisco scum had the cojones and the brains to do what our marines do day in and day out in Iraq. Back to history on this bag of sh... Senator, please check the book "Shadow Warrior" by Felix Rodriguez, specifically the one chapter where Senator Screw the Vets grills Mr. Rodriguez on the capture of guevara (La Higuera, Bolivia 1967), the Senator from the Commonwealth of Mass Maoisim conducted hearings with the intent of exposing something on the Contra support operation where he questioned Mr. Rodriguez as to why he (Mr. Rodriguez) did not make a greater effort at saving guevara's life, well just take it from there and imagine where we would be today had that crap being elected to the White House two years ago.

Ahh, the Democrats. And don't be fooled: this is how they think of all us "unwashed" masses...

In my business I get to meet many military veterans-both young and old. I have yet to hear any of them express any liking of John Kerry; and of the Vietnam war vets they unanimously express nothing but contempt for him.

I doubt many vets think much of Kerry. Unfortunately Kerry put a face on the way the Democrats feel about our troops -- and would abandon them in a minute and say their mission was hopeless.
I voted to send the troops to Iraq before I voted to tell the troops their mission was a big mistake. How does anyone look them in the eye and say this, I will never know. There are no mulligans in war.
Hindsight does not substitute for intelligent thinking, and second guessing is not a strategy.

There is a perception out there that only the "dumb ones" enlist in the military. It's not just Kerry, or the liberals; I've found this to be widespread. But I'll tell you this much: I met some incredibly smart people in the Army, and I also met some pretty dumb ones. Just a reflection of the society, that's all. Should Kerry get hammered for the comments? Of course, it's the mid-term election; the GOP needs this.

Because the MSM will ignore this, it'll have no affect on the election.

on the interesting side, all their governors have been republican, since the mid 80's i think the last one was dukakis, but all the senators and congressman are dems, state and federal..

I'm shocked to discover that had I been a little smarter I wouldn't have been stuck serving this great nation of ours. I wonder where I might've been stuck if I wasn't such a dumbass though.

For once, Kerry was being honest with himself.

So Kerry tried to explain yesterday that his remarks of the day before were really about the boob that is the Commander in Chief of all those troops who he wasn't calling uneducated? Too much nuance for me, Senator.

My husband has 20 IQ points on me, and he was a Marine in Desert Storm, so what does that make me?
