Lackeys
Have you ever noticed how any sovereign nation that expresses concerns over the Cuban government's dismal human rights record is immediately branded a US lackey by said Cuban government? Australia is the latest to earn that scorn, expressed via Granma, for their brazen ammendment to the yearly UN criticism of the US embargo.
Child of the Revolution has more, including a lesson or two for those highly educated representatives at Granma.

this reminds us that don fidel castro is very touchy, he no like when anyone calls him out. too bad que sufra. the ex warsaw pact nations all know about fidel's wrath. they've been the ones primaraly responsable for exposing him on the world stage. fidel is like some paranoic lawyer who issues threats at any provocation. we should continue to bring charges against him for murder drug running money luandering and extortion.maybe fidel will go down like other mafia dons using the rico laws, or maybe like pinochet, in each case it will require a courageos prosecutor like giuliani and baltasar garson.

I found a great Ronald Reagan montage on You Tube that includes a shot at Fidel towards the end. There are other great quips as well. There will NEVER be another one like him.
Enjoy!

"Lackeys"
What else is new ...resorting to "labels" and name calling is the typical tactic of the left ... in lieu of debating and dealing with real issues.
I wish you well :) Melek

It's very sad but very simple. This simply means that 70% of the voting countries don't really care about human rights and certainly don't care about Cuba. Voting against the embargo, by the way, is not a pro-Cuba act but an anti-US act. These hypocrites are perfectly willing to let Cuba suffer, bleed, and rot indefinitely as long as it can be used in an anti-US agenda.
I'd especially like to know which of Cuba's so-called "sister countries" south of the border (besides Venezuela and Bolivia) voted against the Australian amendment. If someone knows, please post it. Every Cuban should be aware of who's stabbing Cuba in the back.

Dino:
Thank you, Thank you very much for that video. Ronald Reagan was a great man and a great president. I wish I would have had the chance to meet him. May God bless him in heaven and may Him bless you too.
You know, some of Reagan's jokes sounded like the famous anti-castro Pepito jokes in Cuba. It's no wonder Reagan was "el domador del caballo."
As for el Granma, my great grandfather used to say he read the Granma's news about "over-production of everything", then he looked at the markets and into his fridge and he just tossed that crappy piece of lies right into the trash can.
BTW in Marianao they cut the Granma in small pieces and use it as toilet paper because there is no toilet paper available or affordable, and also because they won't be getting any information from the Granma anyways.

A little net searching revealed that the 51 countries that voted for the Australian amendment included 18 formerly communist Eastern European or Soviet states. However, the 51 did not include ANY country below the US-Mexico border in the Western hemisphere. Not a SINGLE "sister nation" had the decency of, say, Albania. Just one big, loving Hispanic family.
