Blog Etiquette, Personal Insults and a Palmetto Bug
I am loathe to get into blogwars, especially petty blogwars against petty bloggers, but sometimes no matter how much you try to ignore the inane, the inane just elevate their inanity until the point of insult. There's a local blogger that has been rather obsessed with Babalu to the point of not only criticizing what is posted here in this blog - which is all fine and dandy and not only acceptable but welcome - but also very critical of what is not posted on this blog - which is rather bothersome as it takes quite a bit of gall to tell anyone what the hell they should write about or cover on their own blogs.
Add to that today's petty post where not only does this blogger - in a brilliant display of hubris - call me out for not posting on some Miami Herald editorial that a) I had not read as I do not read the Miami Herald save for the Sports section and b) even if I had read the editorial I would not have written about it as I just didnt feel like it, but said blogger took the picture of my aunt Amanda that adorns the header of this blog, altered it to remove the title, and posted it without attribution and with commentary reeking of condescension.
And as much as it pains me deeply to actually link to that blog - titled rather ineptly "Stuck on the Palmetto" - I feel the need to do so simply to give you some background which you'll need to help you decide on your choice for the following blogpoll.
Since the purveyor of that blog has seen fit to be the blogworld's nagging little bitch, calling out bloggers on what it is that said bloggers should be writing in their own blogs, I feel I should also be able - ala nagging little bitch at Stuck on the Palmetto - to make a few suggestions of my own, vis-a-vis his blog, specifically on what a blog so negatively critical and lacking in originality and teeming with condescension and hubris, should be aptly titled.
To wit, the rename Stuck on the Palmetto poll:

Not only without atrribution, but without your permission. Typical piece-of-shit liberal that he is, he doesn't respect property rights.
And let's not forget the rabid Alex a/k/a Gansito (a corruption of his old anonymous handle 'Gansibele') who manages with every post to be one of the most sanctimonious, self-involved, bleeding hearts I've come across. And he even admits that he is too full of himself.
(BTW, he gets off by calling me "the Poodle." It's his way of compensating, if you know what I mean...)

Hey, Val, a man is known not only by his friends but also by his enemies. The NoLifer just needs attention and this is the cheapest way to get it when you have NO talent.
I remember the very first time I checked that blog, last year -- I lasted about 5 minutes and never went back. I found it negative and inane -- no intelligent life out there at all. Could not figure out why people in Miami were linking to it.
Remember, with these losers, LA ENVIDIA SE LOS COME. The smallest package in the world is a man wrapped up in himself.

I could not vote on your poll because I did not find the appropriate COMEMIERDA ON THE PALMETTO.
Speaking of COMEMIERDA, the geeky metrosexual cub reporter Oscar Corral has a "coletilla" on his Miami Herald blog that reads:
"Comments are moderated, and will not appear on this weblog until the author has approved them."
A "coletilla" was the disclaimer that newspaper reporters in Cuba were forced to add to their articles months prior to Castro's takeover of the press. It said something like "The employees and other reporters of this newspaper are not in solidarity with this article."
Corral's blog is down to just six diehard bloggers who mostly think like him. One even pointed out that Corralito is still in Cuba.
Has anyone noticed the resemblance between the nerd on the Verizon wireless advertisements and Corral? Just add eyeglasses to Corralito and Voila!

Why aren't you blogging about the Brittany K-Fed breakup? I'll tell you why. It's because you're all intransigent! Obsessed with Castro!

I'm with Max---The Palmetto Bug works for me. The image is seared, SEARED into my brain of a palmetto bug of Houston proportions flying across my fifth-grade classroom and causing a riot.

They are pathetic; from the bard:
O, beware, my lord, of jealousy!
It is the green-eyed monster which doth mock
the meat it feeds on.
