Hypertension, anyone? Then don't read this!

Without commentary:

A Right to Health: Cuba’s Example and What it means for South L.A.

Please note the banner. Can you name them all? I can name a bunch, including Malcolm X, Noam Chomsky, Gandhi, Nelson Mandela. Isn't that Mother Jones next to che? What a pairing!

I wrote the following to CA assembly member Karen Bass who is the featured speaker for this shameful event.

http://www.karenbass.org/Default.aspx?1585289873

Cuba has two healthcare systems, one for the Communist party elite and tourists which is fully funded and used for propaganda, and then there is the Cuban Healthcare system for the average Cuban Citizen where facilities are crumbling and even basic supplies such and bedding and aspirin are lacking. It is in fact an apartheid system. Touting Cuba's healthcare system is an insult to every Cuban suffering under Castro's dictatorial regime. Ask Dr. Biscet about Cuban healthcare. He is an Afro-Cuban, a black man unjustly sentenced to 28 years in Castro's Gulag for the crime of hanging flag upside down to protest the lack of human rights in Cuba.

I included this communique from him.

and links:

And for the truth about Cuba's healthcare:

Please withdraw your support for this disgusting event which is nothing more than a rally for a mass murdering dictator.

Shiss.. all that had to be said was that KPFK was involved to discredit the whole thing. They are the most leftist and rabble rousing radio station in the whole of Southern California.

We used to call it "Pravda West"....

Why do my comrades always neglect my hero the greastest leader the proletariat has ever known:

Iosif Vissarionovich Dzhugashvili was truly a heroic and splendid figure and belongs right next to ghandi on that site.

A fine, fine man, this "man of steel"... and I don't mean Superman. The second-greatest mass murderer in human history, flanked by Mao at number 1 and Hitler at number #3. What a bunch!

Many thanks from the many visitors of this site to my blog I hope you enjoyed the short video of Fidel and Chavez I posted and I certainly hope you will come back and visit.

Posted by: Cyberray [TypeKey Profile Page] at November 20, 2006 11:17 PM

Tony, as a resident of CA I can tell you fidel would be right at home here, and I would gladly make that trade but only if I get a ticket out.

ziva, nobody's holding a gun to your head, keeping you here in California. As a travel agent, please take your pick and I'll get you on the first flight out, ALL EXPENSES PAID. If you live outside of these cities, I can arrange for airfare from a location closer to you. Just name the date and time. ADIOS!

Posted by: cacubano [TypeKey Profile Page] at November 21, 2006 12:51 AM

CaCubano, I for one would be proud to have Ziva here. She's too good a person to be in the same county with the likes of you. Asshole.

Posted by: George L. Moneo [TypeKey Profile Page] at November 21, 2006 07:18 AM

And this country is too good for either one of you BITCHES.

Posted by: cacubano [TypeKey Profile Page] at November 21, 2006 09:43 AM

I just banned you, you filthy leftist fuck. I've had just as much crap from you as I'm willing to take.

Posted by: George L. Moneo [TypeKey Profile Page] at November 21, 2006 10:02 AM

And one more thing: if you try to use another address, I'll track your IP and ban your ass again.

Posted by: George L. Moneo [TypeKey Profile Page] at November 21, 2006 10:04 AM

cacubano and his "rationality" more like irrationality. Can't even take a joke.
If you guys indeed do the trade, make sure that it is only cacubano's zip code the one that is traded ha ha ha lol

Hey I missed the fun at this post. Thanks for getting my back El Pitbull. One of these days I'll be happily at home in Miami and no more being surrounded by these humorless communist assholes.

Posted by: Ziva [TypeKey Profile Page] at November 21, 2006 10:52 AM

Only joke in all of this is the "cuban exile community".

You say your for freedom in Cuba? You say you can tolerate discussion? But you go ahead and ban others with different points of views? Not only are you a disgrace to the Cuban community, but you are also a disgrace to this country.

I for one will not take anyone's comment on this blog site worth a grain of salt. You all practice the exact same amount of intolerance that fidel did back when he would ban others who did not share the same view points that he did. That is the only thing that you guys know how to do here. You only talk out of your asses make yourselves look stupid to everyone else.

So good luck with your stupid, pathetic fucked up lives. Do yourselves a favor, and hang yourselves from a banana tree. YOU ARE NOT CUBANS, YOU ARE NOT AMERICANS, YOUR JUST BASTARDS WITHOUT A COUNTRY.

Posted by: trueamerican74 [TypeKey Profile Page] at November 21, 2006 12:00 PM

Wow. That was so heart-felt and touching. Thanks. And it's especially nicer when it comes from one of your own:

Ziva, this guy's from LA, too. What the hell is in the water over there that turns some Cuban Americans into raving self-hating, leftist morons? Jeez.

Posted by: George L. Moneo [TypeKey Profile Page] at November 21, 2006 12:21 PM

No doubt in my mind that clorine deficiency from drinking bottled water causes brain damage, and lower IQ's. Then there's the che images, Santana music, stupid politicians, Hollywoodism, and leftist run public schools. Notice they can't tell the difference between expressing a point of view and being an asshole.

Posted by: Ziva [TypeKey Profile Page] at November 21, 2006 02:16 PM

Oh, and I like the "YOU'RE A BASTARD WITHOUT A COUNTRY" line. Shit, if that's true, I want my taxes back...

Posted by: George L. Moneo [TypeKey Profile Page] at November 21, 2006 02:19 PM

I'm trying to figure out what kind of banana tree has branches suitable for hanging....

Posted by: Ziva [TypeKey Profile Page] at November 21, 2006 02:37 PM

After a cursory review of IP addresses I have come to the conclusion the CaCubano and TrueAmerican 74 are one and the same. Either way, they're both banned.

Posted by: George L. Moneo [TypeKey Profile Page] at November 21, 2006 02:39 PM

Not any banana tree I've seen. Hell, I've got one growing next door...

Posted by: George L. Moneo [TypeKey Profile Page] at November 21, 2006 02:40 PM

Sheesh, I come here often and disagree with respect, and am treated in kind, many thanks to George and Val.

I do not and cannot defend the Cuban Healthcare System. I won't even try. My freedom has much too high a cost to trade a Gulag for an aspirin..if one is available in Cuba.

Again as a more moderate voice I come back to only one question....maybe I'm being too simplisitc here....

...If Cuba is such a paradise why do people risk thier lives to try and leave it?

Posted by: JackW [TypeKey Profile Page] at November 21, 2006 02:46 PM

Exactly right Jack. As Val has written many times, the rafts only go one way...

Posted by: George L. Moneo [TypeKey Profile Page] at November 21, 2006 02:48 PM

Hey George,

You are forgetting that pizza delivery guy (from Chicago, I think) who stole a small plane from the Marathon airport and flew it to Cuba a couple of years ago. As it turns out, upon his return it was discovered that he suffered from some serious mental problems.

By the way, I too am still trying to figure out what kind of banana tree is suitable for hanging. The home I grew up in had a a large patch out back (you know how they spread), and I don't think you could even hang a picture on one, much less a person.

Posted by: LittleGator [TypeKey Profile Page] at November 21, 2006 04:20 PM

LittleGator, the late unlamented CaCubano/TrueAmerican was trying to make a disparaging comment; fortunately, his writing skills are as honed as political acumen.

As a member of Spa 6 which I attend on a monthy basis I just called to cancel my participation at this event. (Nov 29th at the Ahmanson Senior Community center, 3990 S. Menlo Ave. Los Angeles.) The poor in my district have been screwed over time and time again by L.A. commissioners and assembly people. We have lost hospitals and E R`s because these "protectors" of our city prefer to spend money on Cultural Centers (Gloria Romero)rather than look after the needs of our city. To know that a Los Angeles assemlywoman (Karen Bass)is going to speak at an event sponsored by "MEDICC" and "KPFK", both of these organizations solid supporters of the castro dictatorship which practices apartheid in its so called medical service to the Cuban people, is really disrespectfull to the people of my district.
