Just received news item (Unconfirmed)

I can't confirm the following, save to say it is from a source that's been reliable in the past:

Castro will be at the military parade, from 7AM to 8AM. Organizers have constructed a special reviewing stand that will allow him to arrive by car. Foreign press access will be limited during the parade. They will be on a press platform with line line of sight of Castro, but at 200 feet away. Video phones or live shots will not be allowed from the parade sight

In many of the desert roads of California the police parks a patrol car by the side of the road with a dummy policeman sitting at the wheel to slow down speeders. Without the press and live shots any dummy could sit in castro's spot.

WOW!!. Its gonna be like the scene from the old movie "El Cid" where the dead Cid was propped up to convince his foes that he was alive. I guess the "coma-andante" is gonna feel more than strange with sugar cane stakes ramed up his old bud to keep him from keeling over.

This thing seems to get dumb and dumber. Who out there remembers Anwar Sadat's assasination? Good time for history to repeat itself!

I think they are building-up the expectations and placing all these requirements ... so that at the end, castro will be a no show because of security risk, etc. ... esto me huele a "alcohol de embalsamar" ...

no picture, no film, no press, and no speech (thank God) sounds like a no show or better yet a puppet show.
I can imagine the sugar cane stick holding him up and some strings moving his arms arounds, just like the soviets did with Brezhnev.

BTW Melek I like that quote from Ayn Rand, have you read Anthem??? It is trully an easy read and a great book.

With no live shots, videos or castro speeches it would be simple enough to use one of his many doubles.

So much for that "reliable" source.
