You got to hand it to Jon Stewart, regardless of his political views, he's funny as hell.

I almost want a Democrat to win in 2008 so that he and Stephen Colbert can spend some time lampooning them.

Just curious -- if (WHEN) the current Cuban regime is gone, how many Cuban-Americans will return to Cuba?

Blue State Conservative:
You need to read up on U.S. immigration history. Cubans were political exiles in the U.S. during 1848-1898. During those 50 years here, there were family ties between those born here and those still on the island. When Cuba was freed from Spanish despotism, the Cuban Americans here traveled back and forth in circular migration.
Puerto Ricans today also practise circular migration. There are more Puerto Ricans living on the mainland than on the island.
After the fall of Communism in Eastern Europe, many exiles returned to their homelands after more than four decades. Just look at who is leading Czech universities and institutions today.
I found your question very trite and naive, something fit more for a dumb leftist.

In yesterday's Miami Herald story about the City of Miami planning a party at the Orange Bowl, they said the City wanted to sell t-shirts. Well, I think Jon Stewart has the perfect design!

delacova -- it was a serious question, you do not have to insult me.

Blue State Conservative,
Don't pretend to be so sensitive. I did not insult you. I found your question insulting.
