Pedro Knight, R.I.P.

Pedro Knight, husband of the late, great Celia Cruz -- ¡Azucar! -- has passed away. Forgive me for my negligence in publishing this sad news.

Very sad. I love Celia Cruz who had the most extraordinary voice of probably anyone who ever lived. And the dear man who was always at her side. He's with her again now, probably could not live without her.

JJ, from what I've read there will be a private ceremony for Pedro Knight on Tuesday morning (Feb. 13) at the Frank E. Campbell funeral home in New York. And, at 1:00PM, his body will be carried to its final resting place, next to Celia's in a mausoleum at the Woodlawn cemetery in the Bronx. I read that the ceremony at the cemetery is open to the public. You should check with the funeral home and/or cemetery to make sure that these plans have not changed.
