No sympathy from Purdue in West Lafayette, IN. We were shut down for two days because of a blizzard. We've been having temperatures with negative windchills with the real temperatures in single digits. You want me to rip off an icicle off the side of the Armory?

Matt,
Indiana University-Bloomington closed Wednesday because of snow. These whiners in Miami don't know what cold is.
Our weather forecast for tomorrow from www.wunderground.com:
"Snow accumulation around 2 inches. Total snow accumulation around 3 inches. Highs in the upper 20s. South winds 10 to 15 mph shifting to the west 5 to 10 mph with gusts to around 20 mph in the afternoon. Chance of snow 90 percent."
Weather forecast for Miami tomorrow:
"Mostly sunny. Highs in the upper 60s. Northwest winds 10 to 15 mph decreasing to 5 to 10 mph in the afternoon. Lowest wind chill readings 35 to 40 in the morning."
If I had Miami weather here, I would be outside in camiseta sin mangas y chancletas de palo.

Rather whine about 40 degree lows than 25 degree highs with snow.
That's OK, we laugh at all the northerners when they complain that it's too hot at 75 degrees. We're just beginning to strip down to 3 layers at that temperature! ;)
Actually, I think this weather is great.

No "whistling monkeys" here. It was 80 today in So Cal.
But... I feel your pain. =D

Sheesh! I'm in LA, and I've been freezing my ass off. I spent a lot of years in New England, and even survived a winter in Wyoming. Cold, is cold. There is nothing as wonderful as endless warmth. The ideal temperature for me is around 90.

It was authentically below freezing here in Orlando last night. Al Gore has a lot to answer for.

Southern Indiana weather right now:
Snow Advisory in effect until 7 PM this evening... snow will continue across central and northern Indiana through the morning. Accumulations noon will be around one quarter to one half of an inch per hour. Use caution when traveling as roads will be slick especially untreated roads...areas with little traffic and exits from Highways.
