Apartheid fishing
"Only foreigners can fish our waters"HOLGUIN, Cuba – February 15 (Liannis Meriño Aguilera, Jóvenes sin Censura / www.cubanet.org) – Residents of a small fishing village in Holguín province complain that increasingly stern restrictions on their traditonal occupation mean that only foreign tourists can fish their waters.
"Before 1959, most residents of Puerto de Vita fished for a living. Now only foreigners can fish our waters," said human rights activist Vicente Hidalgo, who complained that "severe restrictions directed at fishermen became harsher after the government established a recreational fishing center nearby."
"Recently," he said, "two fishermen were fined 1,500 pesos each because they didn't have the fishing permit which has to be obtained daily from the port authority and which in any case, is very hard to get."

Give a man a fish, he eats for a day; teach a man to fish, he eats for a lifetime.
Give a man communism for a day he goes hungry; give a man communism for a lifetime and his body and soul die of starvation.

La culpa la tiene el imperialismo yanqui!!
It's simple and obvious. How can you not see it? With the cruel blockade, the Yankees have prevented edible fish from swimming into Cuban waters. Those (fish) that manage to evade all the war ships sitting just over the horizon must be reserved for the tourists who pay in Euros, which, as we know, benefits all Cubans. No sacrifice (by the fishermen of course) is too small if it serves the revolucion.
So, if we lift the "embargo" and negotiate with raulito, (who I need not remind you tells dirty jokes and loves his family) all will be well, and Cubans will live happily ever after.
The End.
