Simpletons

batalla.jpg

The photo above shows the acto de repudio - act of repudiation - forced upon the Ladies in White this past weekend as they made their usual dignified walk through Havana in silent protest to the incarceration of their husbands and loved ones.

Just look at the countenance of the woman in the foreground and it tells you all you need to know about these actos de repudio and the people who carry them out: they are hate-filled, indoctrinated simpletons. That right there is the true face of fidel castro's revolution. No need for words, no need to battle with ideas. Immoral, undignified brute force is what the regime and its supporters are reduced to.

No amount of pedantic propaganda, no amount of blatant deceit can hide the truth about the driving force behind the castro regime: contrived, unbridled hatred to mask the desperation of self-preservation.

She looks like Nancy Pelosi! Chusmeria is chusmeria where ever it is.

What makes them immoral is not that they believe Communist propaganda, because no one in Cuba believes that anymore (if they ever did); it is, rather, the fact that they are willing to do the regime's dirty work which makes them immoral. They are only blinded by self-interest and a passionate disdain for the enemies of the regime, which Communism did inculcate and raise to prominence as the highest civic vitue.

Disgusting. Val-you spoke of "pictures" of this on the show last night, yet this is the only one I've seen. Do you know where I can find more?

Posted by: omar [TypeKey Profile Page] at March 21, 2007 09:02 AM

P.S. Was this type of thing listed as a possible attraction in the proposed theme park on Cuban life?

Posted by: omar [TypeKey Profile Page] at March 21, 2007 09:05 AM

They don't look like they missed too many meals or shopping trips.

Posted by: R S [TypeKey Profile Page] at March 21, 2007 09:06 AM

You should point out that the ladies in white are walking on the left side of the picture, more toward the background and they aren't responding to the confrontation. In this particular case we don't see any stones or clubs and it looks like they mainly sent women, probably because of the high visibility internationally of the ladies in white. Imagine if it weren't the case.

The video on the linked article is worth watching.

Posted by: Henry "Conductor" Gomez [TypeKey Profile Page] at March 21, 2007 09:29 AM

What should stand out more is not that low class "chusma" in the foreground, but the dignity with which the Ladies in White continue to display despite the continued harassment.

Frankly, some people on BOTH sides of the straits could learn a thing or two from the Ladies in White and how they carry themselves despite the adversity.

Sadly, it wouldn't be surprising if at least some of these opportunistic harpies are getting money and goods from relatives in the US. I know of cases of visitors from Cuba, whose trips were paid for by US relatives, who had the gall while here to speak well of the Castro regime. And yes, in some cases, their US relatives paid to have them visit again.

I was going to post the picture with my post on the subject, but man that lady just gives me the chills.

All I can say is WOW! Make sure you watch the CNN clip. I am surprised CNN aired the comment by the last guy who was asked what he thought. He basically said that here(in Cuba) you can't say anything freely. Great things are coming.

Posted by: pototo [TypeKey Profile Page] at March 21, 2007 10:32 AM

It is good that this happened because it gives publicity to the struggle for Cuban freedom. However, I view with trepidation the next step in repression by the Raulist run Cuban government.
Raul is not known for having a light hand. My prayers are for the Ladies in White.

BRUJAS!!

Whaddya wanna bet that months from now, coming to a Maria Elvira near you, some of these SAME faces will show up to spill the beans on kASStro and parade their bs .....

This sort of behavior by no means surprises me. It is highly likely that those involved in these “actos” are neighborhood CDR honchos. As it becomes more and more apparent that the “revolution” is nearing its end, these individuals have a great deal to worry about – as it has been theorized that once the government falls, those involved with the CDRs will become targets for acts of revenge.

Those taking part in these “actos de repudio” will thus do anything to ostracize, silence or just plane frighten those who dare to speak up. The threat of revenge is quite real – as I myself have witnessed CDR meetings held to discuss whether or not to evict a citizen from their home. Once you start meddling with a person’s livelihood and/or housing – you’re playing with fire.

By the looks of that picture and what actually went on during that repudation, I find it hard to think that if Cuba were free of the castro regime, that I or many other Cuban Americans can actually feel free to travel to Cuba and be surrounded by people like that! I remember a video that made my stomach turn where the women screamed it was fidelitos streets!

I'll stay in the USA surrounded by my fellow Cuban Americans who think like.

Jose.

Absolutely disgusting. While appreciate this being reported in the MSM, they omitted that these are government organized acts. They give the false impression that these degenerates do this out of revolutionary zeal. There is a very hot place in Hell for enablers and supporters of tyranny.

The reality is these are the lackeys who are fed a bit via tourism. These baboons are the ones who are beginning to get hungry now that tourism is drying up NOW IS THE TIME TO GRAB FOR THE THROAT AND SQUEEZE! Do everything possible to starve these maggots for the next few months and they will be turning their rage to Raul. No remittences, no tourism, nothing! These idiots need to live on bread and sugar just like the majority of Cubans do. Then they'll come around to our way of thinking!

José:

If Cuba were free of the Castro regime, these blackhearted "ladies" would transmogrify into the most merciless scourges of their former fidelista comrades.

Posted by: Manuel A. Tellechea [TypeKey Profile Page] at March 21, 2007 12:48 PM

It is in large part because of people like these that Cuba was destroyed. If there hadn't been enough such creatures already in place even before 1959, suitably disguised but panting for the chance to be themselves (which Castro gave them), Castro and crew would not have been able to get their way.

There's still plenty of such scum, and they won't magically be redeemed, let alone disappear, should Cuba regain its freedom. It's something to think about, because these people may be ready to lie their asses off as needed, but they're not going anywhere.

Posted by: asombra [TypeKey Profile Page] at March 21, 2007 01:03 PM

If this woman is indeed Dr. Concepcion Campa Huergo, then it is emminent proof of the degrading effect castro's revolution has visited upon even the most intelligent and capable people. A quick search on the net suggests that Dr. Campa Huergo is a highly educated scientist "creator of the Meningitis B vaccine," and director of the Finlay Institute.

Assuming the person in the photo is really the good doctor (and it sure looks like her), it is sad that an accomplished researcher este the pachanga por la calle berreando estupideces. Tendra educacion e inteligencia. Pere no tiene moral. No tiene dignidad. No posee el honor ni la valentia para dar un "no" a estas vulgaridades. Para que tanta educacion "gratis" si en fin, se deja utilizar come una chusma mas?

Posted by: LittleGator [TypeKey Profile Page] at March 21, 2007 01:04 PM

To what depths of immorality have these people sunk to? El resultado de “la revolucion” la creacion de el nuevo hombre y mujer. Aqui las tienes – chancleteras, mentirosas, ignorantes y mas que todo putas por haverse vendido a fidel.

Posted by: Tati [TypeKey Profile Page] at March 21, 2007 02:56 PM

Dr. Campa hides her gigantic ears with her hands, because she is ashamed of them or because they would identify her conclusively. The fact that she is a doctor, of course, is no impediment to her being a chusma. Since chusmeria has nothing to do with one's social class and everything to do with one's lack of class.

JESUS TAP DANCING CHRIST! That shrew reminds me of my ex-wife!!

Posted by: Dino P Crocetti [TypeKey Profile Page] at March 21, 2007 03:35 PM

Besides being head of the Finlay Institute, Dr. Campa is also a member of the Politburo. It says a lot that members of the Politburo are now assigned these tasks. They must be the only ones who can still be trusted by the regime.

Posted by: Manuel A. Tellechea [TypeKey Profile Page] at March 21, 2007 03:53 PM

How do you say "Chusmeria?" This is what fidel castro has created, and what he has perpetuated since he usurped Cuba's presidency, since is the NUMBER ONE CHUSMA of Cuba. Just like a whole generation of children learned about oral sex during the shameful Clinton presidency, 4 generations of Cubans have learned this type of shameful behavior from seeing their "president" [read this as tyrant] have temper tandrums, spew out obscenities, yell, scream, make unreasonable demands, behave uncivil and act like a common street thug on TV for 47 years.

Stefania,

Please do not call them WORMS (gusanos). That exalted title belongs to us EXILES

Posted by: Firefly [TypeKey Profile Page] at March 22, 2007 07:21 AM

Firefly makes a good point. The term gusano (or worm) does belong to us. The worm is a useful and productive creature, which carries no disease, and, indeed, disposes of putrefaction and disease. The worm is the greatest agent of civilization. Better to be a gusano than a pulga (flee), which feeds, cannibal-like, on the living bodies of its hosts, spreading disease and death. Our enemies are the pulgas.

I don't think the shrew front and center is Dr. Campa. The idea is that these are supposed to be average, ordinary citizens, and that they're acting independently of the government on their own initiative. Yes, it's a crock, but that's what they're selling. Campa may, in fact, be no better morally than this tarted-up fishwife, but this particular infamy is not in her job description (at least not yet).

Posted by: asombra [TypeKey Profile Page] at March 22, 2007 09:37 AM

I can't help thinking that these people look like either prime candiates for an ultra-sleazy reality show or rejects from an audition for "American Idol."

Posted by: asombra [TypeKey Profile Page] at March 22, 2007 10:13 AM

asombra:

What most reveals us is not what we do from duty but what we do for the pleasure of it. As I've already noted, chusmeria has nothing to do with class and everything to do with lack of class. Therefore it should not surprise us that Dr. Campa is leading this maccabre conga line. Being a chusma herself, isn't it natural that she should be the leader of the chusmas? In fact, the regime should establish an "Oficina del Proletariado Chusma" and appoint Dr. Campa as Director.

Posted by: Manuel A. Tellechea [TypeKey Profile Page] at March 22, 2007 11:07 AM

I believe the definition of CHUSMA in English is RABBLE which in turn means "the lowest or coarsest class of people."

Posted by: Firefly [TypeKey Profile Page] at March 22, 2007 01:15 PM

Firefly:

Rabble (from Middle English rabel, meaning a pack of animals) is a good translation for the collective, but not for the individual. You could not, for example, say that Dr. Campa was a "rabble." She is, however, a member of the rabble, and, indeed, a rabble-rouser.

Posted by: Manuel A. Tellechea [TypeKey Profile Page] at March 22, 2007 02:15 PM

Manuel

Isn't this article about an "act of repudiation" on the Ladies in White by the Cuban CHUSMA displaying full force all their CHUSMERIA? Since there is more than one chusma, the definition in English would be "Cuban" rabble "the lowest and coarsest class of people."

Posted by: Firefly [TypeKey Profile Page] at March 22, 2007 06:02 PM

Firefly:

I am not disagreeing with you. I am merely pointing out the fact that, unlike chusmeria, rabble can only be applied to a mob, not an individual, which is a deficiency in English, not in your knowledge of English.
