Why I may not be posting much this week.

It's not just that I have a ton of stuff to do for the Convention and the El Exilio project. It's that the more I read what's out there, in both posts and commentary, the more I want to go into and expletive laced tirade with a prolific use of the "f" word in caps and bolded.

I really really wanna send some people to hell today.

Mr. Prieto: I feel like you are threatening me indirectly. Really, I feel your pain, but we need to dialogue. Only through dialogue can problems be solved. Look how much we accomplished after we had the dialogue with Fidel Castro in 1978. People are much happier in Cuba and look at the booming businesses created by those who sell tours and packages to Cuba. I can proudly say that I was a part of that.

Chill out, Val, echate Mazola para que te resbale... you don't need a trip to a CCU. Don't give the morons the satisfaction.

We can vent just as well. Go have a good week!

ANSWER: How does one dialogue with an illegal government guilty of such terrible human rights violations which was NEVER voted into power by Cuban citizens?

People are much happier in Cuba and look at the booming businesses created by those who sell tours and packages to Cuba.

ANSWER: This is perhaps one of the craziest statements I've read in a long time. I think perhaps you are failing to speak with Cubans living ON THE ISLAND.

I can proudly say that I was a part of that.

ANSWER: I see, so you are partly responsible for whoring out Cuba to a bunch of fat lazy tourists who take pleasure in watching the tourism apartheid that helps sustain the corrupt dictatorship? Yeah, looks like you've got lots to be proud of.

I'd be upset, too, if my team had drafted Ted Ginn.

The Jews in Theriesenstadt also looked happy and contented as they went about their business...same rationale, right?

No doubt Ms. Perez-Estable would have enjoyed creating business opportunities in scrap metal sales between USA look-the-other-way entrepeneurs and gracious Imperial Japanese trade representatives about 7 decades ago or so...after all, it all came back to US, no?

Dialogue? Dialogue is appropriate between civilized parties. When it comes to kaSStro and his inner core, dialogue is pointless unless it means sitting down and putting up with an endless/meaningless kaSStroite tirade, preceding total capitulation to the tyrant and his whims. When it comes to kaSStro & co., direct action is the only answer. Feel free to interpret the meaning of "direct action" as you prefer. After all, this is still a free country.

Isn't Perez-Estable one of those who was (maybe still is) part and parcel of the castro-fawning "Areito" and "Antonio Maceo" groups, or am I mistaken??

Dear Mr. Melek: By calling me Mario I assume that you are inferring that I have latent lesbian tendencies. Well, I did have problems with the mumps when I was a young girl, which created hormonal havoc. Since my papi was a cardiologist, he couldn't do anything for me. I am 57-years-old, have never married, my hair is cut short, I like to wear pants, and I don't wear makeup. I also do not like ironing. Does that make me a Mario?

Marifeli, sweetie, don't let these people bother you. I understand and agree with you. We accomplished a lot in the dialogue with Castro. I was a nobody before that and look at me now: I am the world's leading economist! I'll see you at Tinta y Cafe next time I am in Miami.

I find it rather interesting that Marifea is able to engage in dialogue on this website, seeing as how in Cuba, this site is censored. Might she address that interesting little observation?

I wanna fight you all...:)

Carmelo pray tell us what you accomplished. How many Cubans sleep better at night and enjoy freedom thanks to your "dialog"?

I just cannot believe that there are people out there who have never heard of my great accomplishments as the world's foremost authority on the Cuban economy. Look at all my many publications. Marifeli and I even had a letter to the editor published in the New York Times. I am so brilliant that it always generates envy among others. If you don't believe me, just ask any Cuban economist about me. That is, those in Cuba who espouse the Vietnamization of the Cuban economy, not the ones in Miami.

AY, I knew it, I knew it .... Marifea's dad was an MD. But you know, he was a pretty nice man -- a little crusty, but a nice man. So, Marifea, how did you turn out so ....? Ah, never mind.

We know the real Marifea is way off center -- to the left, baby, to the left.
