Bravo to Val, Henry and everyone involved with the launch of the BUCL campaign. The Channel 10 coverage of the press conference is fantastic!
Let's hope more media pick up on this innovative campaign.

I just had to add this positive comment about Val. I went to his Booth at Cuba Nostalgia last night and he was in a very detailed emotional conversation with an elderly woman who was using a walker. She told Val all she wanted before she died was to see Cuba free for "two days." She didnt even have to go to Cuba but be able to see it with her two eyes for two days before she died.
When Val and the elderly lady parted he turned to me and I introduced my self for the first time and the man just gave me the most friendliest hug as tears rolled down his eyes and on my shirt. The woman's desire to see Cuba free and her support of Babalu Blog just touched Val inside and I saw first hand the drive, desire and dedication for the cause to free Cuba that many have, but others have unkownenly abandoned by the way side.
I now have a renewed but firmly established (big) respect for Val, more than before, stemming from this personal interaction and witnessing first hand a love for a cause that cannot be manufactured or invented on the fly. If anyone ever questioned this man's motives or interests I would have to correct them in the sternest way. This Blog and the support behind it deserves all our support because I know, witnessing first hand, the heart in a man that compels its success!
Now............Let's talk freedom coffee. I bought some last night at Babalu Blog's booth in Cuba Nostagia and I am drinking it now con mi cafe con leche. I got the grounded pac pero today I am going back to buy the bean in whole pac. My beautiful wife mentioned that we still have a bean grinder machine (I purchased for $9.99 at K-Mart) y yo voy support the cause by buying two bags. I also bought a T-shirt whith a bullet in Che's head! Just in case you wondered...."Che is still dead."
We should all support this man's work since it is all our work by inheritance. My grandparents died, one at 94 and the other at 98. They did not see Cuba free and as Jesus is my witness (and Lord and Savior), I want to see that old Cuban woman witness our homeland free for more than two days. We can do but we cant let the fire die out!!!!!
Hope to see you all there today Supporting Val!
