Ana Menendez, cry me a river

As usual, The Herald's Cuban anti-Cuban pitbull Ana Menendez is doing what she always does when she attacks and gets her face bitten off by those she attacks. She is crying woes me and playing the role of the victim. Oh we're totalitarian, we're intransigent, we're blah blah blah.

Let me give you a clue Ana, nobody's making a big deal about that French company and that tunnel because that project is never going to see the light of day. And if it does, I can pretty much guarantee that the French company won't be involved. Nobody has bitten on the tunnel issue because everyone has seen that it's just an attempt by you to throw gas on the fire as you are pyromaniacally prone to doing.

In the meantime Ana, you can kiss my ass. As I told you in a email, if you don't like being called a bitch, you might want to stop acting like one. But if the shoe fits...

Menendez' column was, with apologies to the Bard, full of sound and fury, but signifies nothing. Where is the apology for the personal and vicious disdain she expresses for all things Cuban? the column was a mish-mash of "I am the real victim here," followed by "you people don't understand us enlightened ones", and even a little mis-direction "hey, its the tunnel we should be talking about."

I don't see introspection. I don't see any understanding of the exiles' pain and very real suffering. To her, that is all ancient history, irrelevant to superior beings such as herself. She was "fishing" for a little sympathy by relating her family's history. Unfortunately, it is a history she has not assimilated. What a waste.

Sir: I would not challenge Ana "Cara de Caballo" Menendez to kiss your ass, after seeing the size of her teeth in the photo of her that you previously published. You will afterward end up needing painful rabies injections. It's not worth it, believe me. Menendez feeds off all this controversy and is probably congratulated by her Herald bosses for stirring up the Cuban exiles. Regarding the spat with her parents, remember that metrosexual Oscar Corral's father did not talk to him for weeks after he published the controversial piece on the Cuban exile journalists.

Is this some sort of pathetic bone she is throwing to the exile community for her previous column so that everyone can see that she, too, has feelings? Is this her poor excuse of an attempt to show that she really does belong? That she, too, is capable of being "wounded" by words but she apparently was able to get over it? I'm just on the outside looking in but I don't buy it...and neither should anyone else. I'm sure she loves the attention she's getting, though. In school when a student craves attention and being good doesn't get him anywhere, he does something bad- in that case any attention is better than none at all.
