Update on AT&T and el che
A few days ago Cubanazos emailed me about their petition protesting AT&T's marketing of el che's image. We found out that they removed the image. Among those of us contacting AT&T was Humberto Fontova, he received the following response.

Well done on their part. Perhaps all the efforts of the CA community are not in vain. Perhaps the real story is finally capturing the attention of concerned ears.

Just a modest proposal: we should take a moment to email Mr. Siegel, and thank him for doing what is right and honorable. (I already did)
As we all learned in Psychology 101, positive reinforcement is much more effective than negative reinforcement. Who knows, in the future, he may be working for another company, y no tropezara con la misma piedra.

Dear Mr. Siegel,
I wanted to take a moment to thank you for reconsidering the use of Che Guevara's image. I realize that most individuals in this country are somewhat ignorant (often due to the propaganda so often spewed by the Castro regime) as to what the Cuban people have gone through - especially when it comes to Che. In Cuba, we referred to, and continue to refer to Guevara as the Butcher of La Cabana (La Cabana being the old Spanish fortress in which many of his executions were performed). There is indeed a reason for such nicknames. Your thoughtful consideration brought tears to my eyes and I thank you from the bottom of my heart.
Warmest Regards,
Anatasio Blanco
