Urge eBay to Renounce Cuban Blood Money

Omar Fernandez of cubanazos.com has pitted himself against the corporate leadership at eBay in a bid to get the internet auction site to abide by its own regulations.

Regular Babalu readers will recall the recent coverage on eBay sales of Che Guevara-related dolls and assorted trinkets. The story, and subsequent campaign directed at the eBay hierarchy was masterminded by Fernandez and the gang at Cubanazos and they need your help.

In a bid to attract the attention of eBay executives, Fernandez & Co. have put together a new petition titled "Ebay, It's Time To Do The Right Thing." Please take a moment to read coverage concerning the eBay sales at Babalu, Cubanazos.com, CubaWatch and other Cuba-related sites. If like us, you are aghast at the idea of greedy vendors lining their pockets with Cuban blood money, please sign the petition. They may be nothing more than bobble-head dolls retailing for only a few greenbacks but those bills smell of the blood of our brothers.

These dolls are actually part of a "Little Thinkers" series of dolls featuring Jane Austen, Salvador Dali, Gandhi, and of course, "El Carnicero de La Cabaña. They even have Jesus. Karl Marx? Check. Adam Smith? Nope. No Hitler, Mao, or Pol Pot.
