In an article dated July 23rd 2007, Spain’s ABC newspaper correspondent in Havana, Jesus Bastante, claims that the reason fifo hasn’t been sighted these past few months is due to a nasogastric intubation that he had placed (permanently) in order for doctors to place nutrients directly into his stomach. It seems that fifo can’t take food or drink by mouth. This nasogastric intubation also allows doctors to treat gastric immobility and bowel obstruction.
