Cover this!
The Herald's hired exile bashers Ana Menendez and Oscar Corral like to play martyr and claim that they are victims of death threats and the like. I'm wondering if the Herald will cover the case of Cuban Liberty Council member and former Cuban political prisoner Iliana Curra who was recently threatened by phone. In multiple voicemail messages Ms. Curra was threatened and insulted by one Felix Martinez and his wife, both of Pembroke Pines. I had heard the tapes of the messages in question on the radio and tonight's Channel 41 news had a full report on this scumbag who says he isn't political and that he was "just joking." What a joke. As I mentioned, he had his wife in on it. I don't think we'll see any newspaper coverage on this since it goes against the Herald's SOP that the only Cuban exiles are violent and scary.

Is it possible to hear tapes of these calls online?

I'm trying to find further reports on the story online but so far I only saw the news report on TV. They played excerpts of the tapes which are profanity laced. They are the same tapes that were played on local radio before the police tracked down this Martinez character.

Mr. & Mrs. Martinez always used *67 before making the calls to Ms. Curra. The police obtained a court order that required the telephone company to give out the telephone numbers. That's how they found where the calls were coming from.

Henry;
If you get a hold of Ninoska, she can probably get the tapes for you.

I'd sure like to have a word with Martinez...

Tomas;
Martinez's full name and address were given out on the air and at Unidad Cubana's last meeting. Everyone was urged to let the authorities handle this and not take matters into their own hands.
But I would also like to give this guy a piece of my mind. What idiots, they think their castro-like tactics will work here. Ha!

Yu can take the scumbag away from communism, but you can't take communism out..... you get the idea.
Good old capitalist lawsuit in the works, I hope.

The Herald would spin in so that Curra was the one who instigated the call and the insults. Remember, the intolerant insufferable intransigent (how I love to use those adjectives!) hard-liners can never be victims, just the aggressors to those poor, reasonable, enlightened and outnumbered liberals.
(Just kidding...I think).

Oscar Corral receiving death threats? Was it the pimp of Yamilet Lopez, the teenage prostitute he haggled with for the $50 price of a BJ?
