That Tolerant Island Paradise

His name is Yuri Martinez Sanchez. In protest to numerous arrests and other mistreatments by the castro regime, he had "USA" tattooed on his forehead. His crime for all the beatings and arrests? Apart from suffering from AIDS in Cuba, he has voiced opinions contrary to the official government enforced dogma.
Cuban authorities picked him up last week and attempted to remove the prominently displayed tattoo. How? With hot irons.
Remember this man's face next time you read some article by some useful idiot on how great HIV and AIDS affected people and gays and lesbians in Cuba are treated.

But wait, this can't possibly be true, I mean, Mariela Castro would never stand for this, would she? Isn't she always going on and on about gay rights and so forth? Wouldn't she tell Daddy this can't be done anymore, since it would spoil her "progressive" image? Or could she simply be totally full of SHIT?

I don't think there is an ileke for protection against ruthless totalitarian regimes. Were that the case we'd all be wearing them ... at Varadero Beach.
I hope that brand becomes a badge of honor for him.
And as they say in the south, bless his heart.

Ever since this item came to light, I've been thinking about it a great deal.
Those of you on this spinning globe called Earth who continue to voice support for the government of the late dictator Fidel Castro are nothing more than a shameful lot. Indeed, you are every bit as bad as those inviduals in Nazi Germany who, despite living in the very same towns that also hosted the death camps, played dumb on the day of liberation. How could you not have known. Indeed, how can their continue to exist segments of the world population that continue to play dumb with regards to the Cuban nightmare when all the evidence is here, on the internet, available for public consumption.
No, I won't give you a moral pass on this any longer. Those who support the regime are guilty of a severe moral lapse that is simply unexplainable. Even more, it is inexcusable.
Someday, we'll all be held to account for our actions by a higher power. When that day comes, I pray - unlike yourselves - that some modicum of mercy will be employed with regards to the justice which will one day be bestowed upon you.
It sickens the stomach.
