He was the mob man with whom the CIA contracted to hit fidel castro. He later was disappered, perhaps as retribution for trying to kill castro.

No, I was doing some research at the CIA freedom of information act archives and found this particular case in a memo titled "The Family Jewels."

I am currently reading "The Company," a fictional history of the CIA (and the basis for a TNT mini-series this past August.) Just finished reading the section that strongly suggests Roselli and Giancana were ordered killed by castro as revenge for trying to kill him.
