Angels on Our Shoulders Dedication - Updated
Just in from Val, the beautiful painting dedicated to the pilots that flew during the Bay of Pigs.
Update: The painting was unveiled at the Southern Museum of Flight in Birmingham, Alabama. It will eventually be on display for visitors to the CIA building in Langley, Virginia. The CIA has a new art gallery to show artwork that honors the secret agents who worked for the agency and its predecessor, the Office of Secret Services.
Titled "Lobo Flight", the painting shows vintage aircraft dropping bombs onto a column of Cuban troops heading to the beach where Cuba exiles had gathered to oust castro.
Veterans of the invasion say they are happy to finally receive recognition for their attempt to liberate Cuba.
Painted by Jeff W. Bass, you can view more of this fine artist's work here. (Thanks to JSB for the link)
If you listened to last nights Babalu radio hour, then you know that Val will be coming home with many very moving stories and photos of this event to share with us. Watch for his posts.

Wow.
That picture completely took my breath away and immediately brought tears to my eyes.
I cannot fathom their bravery and sacrifice.
