Fighting back
Venezuelan students are not taking chavez’s constitutional reforms that all but ensure his power for life, lying down. Yesterday they hit the streets again in protest and things got ugly when the police began using teargas and rubber bullets in an effort to disperse the crowds.

This type of civil disobedience and protest is going to have to continue and grow in frequency and intensity if the people of Venezuela ever hope to get this monkey off their back.

Sadly, Chavez is a cancer that is spreading. There's only one way to get rid of a cancer folks and I don't see it happening any time soon ....

Are these the same left wingers university kids who at one point supported him?
I heard they are going hungry and had enough.

They most likely are the same ones, Drojo. But like typical liberals that squeal like stuck pigs when they get a dose of their own medicine, they're realizing now that all of the socialist reforms they thought would only affect the fat-cat capitalists is now affecting them.
It really isn't an odd occurrence; notice that the only devout socialists you'll ever see are the ones that are either in power and enjoying the perks it brings, or are living in free societies whining about capitalism while enjoying its perks.
