Just another day in the worker's paradise - UPDATED
The totalitarian castro regime in Cuba commemorates INTERNATIONAL HUMAN RIGHTS DAY by arresting opponents who might have the temerity to step outside of their houses and denounce the human rights abuses that go on in that country, all while Cuba has a seat on the United Nations newly redesigned Human Rights Council. It's as if we live in some bizarro world where the evil are praised and rewarded for their evil.
UPDATE: As if to emphasize my point, Cuba's State "News: Agency puts out this communique:
Cuba, Honorable Human Rights Record
Havana, Dec 10 (Prensa Latina) Cuba celebrates Monday International Human Rights Day with an honorable and extensive record in cooperating with all human rights mechanisms.

And those it doesn't cooperate with, it just co-opts, i.e. the UN Human Rights Council.

You know the old saying, "The more things stay the same, the more they stay the same" -or something like that.
