I'm at the point...
...where I'll try anything to boot the castro regime. This just in via email:
Hello Val,My name is (withheld) we met once before although I don't know if you remember. I am a TRUE fan of your site and commend you on your involvement with the CAMBIO movement.
I have something interesting to share with you on a spiritual level regarding Cuba and the changes taking place.
I have a friend who's name is Carmenza Carvajal. Carmenza is from Colombia and is a "Spiritual Growth Counselor" who frequently accesses historical registries of past lives and human evolution. She is in tune with the metaphysical world. She guides and advises on the process and dealings of the conscious and subconscious state of mind. I know this is a mouthful! Hope I haven't lost you yet.
You might ask, what does a Colombian have to do with Cuba? Well, seems like a lot. A couple of months back...Carmenza had a vision and calling to visit Cuba. She had never been to the island and thought..why was it that she was asked to visit? After speaking to her, and myself being Cuban, she described her experience as the airplane began to land on the island. From a far she saw a black/gray dark cloud that covered the island as in an expression of pain, sorrow and oppression. She felt immediately compelled and a strong connection with the suffering of this country and its people. Once landed, she roamed the island not quite yet understanding what her purpose was. She walked the streets and said she saw death in people's faces, fear, oppression, desperation, and manipulation. As if zombies were walking amongst her.
An island needing to be rescued from evil. All she could do was cry.
I know this may sound weird...yet it has and is all coming together. She arrived back in Miami after that trip even more confused than when she visited Cuba. Her purpose is to help save and FREE Cuba via prayer and intercession. She then began prayer meetings and invite local Cubans to assist these prayer and/or spiritual meetings to begin to lift the veil of sorrow and dark cloud she felt over Cuba. She said she was being asked to help set Cuba FREE. Now...please understand I too was looking at her like...Lady you've lost all your screws. Yet, I have seen the difference myself and that's why I am reaching out to you for your support and that of your team and CUBANS alike.
She began these meetings on 07/072007. And they were to be carried out on the 7th of every month for 7 months at 7 AM and 7 PM. Tomorrow, Monday January, 7, 2008 at 7 PM she will be hosting the last meeting for Cuba. Thus far, they have all been successful. However, since it is the last one we want to make sure anyone and everyone knows of it. I am including information below on where this meeting will take place at PM. Every month she visits Key West at 7 AM in order to be as close as she can get to Cuba. Change has been happening for a couple of months from MIA via this Colombian person. Now, I would likethe Cuban community to help support her and her efforts. This is NOT Brujeria, Espritismo, or any of that mumbo jumbo as they say. She is a very special individual who has brought with her a message and a task which is working and has become a true spiritual movement.
I ask for your assistance and help. Below is all the info I would like to you to post on your blog. I know this is short notice, but anything you could do would be truly appreciateed. I would also love to have you, your team, and friends involved attend and meet with Carmenza so that you can understand the things she has seen and knows of Cuba. I don't know where else to reach out too, and don't want people to misinterpret this effort and her intentions. It's really not a joke and not a PR move by any means. This is a lady that lives in Colombia and had to come to Miami after her received message. I would love to have this opportunity to bring together all our efforts and the efforts of those who want to encourage and stand for CHANGE. We need your support to carry out this effort and vision. If we bring all these good willed energies together, we are going to see a very soon to be FREE CUBA!

You can't be serious? We are not that desperate. Credibility for the cause should still mean something and psychobabble is not quite what will bring that on. To each his own, but this is definitely too far off the path for me. I'll stick to cambio over yoda. May the farce be with you. (its a joke!!!)

My Father was 10 in January 1959 , he too saw That dark cloud, when he heard the announcement Batista ran away .
Since then the black Cloud of Satan has being over the Island.
Then Came the Zombies, we all know them , we all see them getting off rafts, we all had to deal with them on a daily basis.
Too bad it took this Lady 49 years to see what we see.

Can't hurt. Kinda reminds me of the armies of light gathering in one of the Tolkein type movies. If I were in Key West, I'd go. I don't think we need worry about credibility. Maybe I'm wrong, but I see it as one facet of the larger movement.

You guys are out of control...I think at this point anything POSITIVE to get that creep "who" I am sure is already dead out of Cuba is fine by me. This has nothing to do with Yoda or any other reliogion based crap. I really believe at this point not only are we fighting a physical battle in Cuba...but also a very strong spiritual one.
I hope some of you have some faith left, and believe that there will soon be a FREE Cuba. All effort put towards the same goal can help us conquor all the opression and need in this dying or practically dead country.

Faith is one thing, New Age mumbo jumbo is quite another. The "dark cloud" vision thing is such a joke. It makes us look like idiots. So will we rub a lamp and hope a Genie comes out next? After all it may make good press. This is just New Age foolishness and some here have bought into it. No thanks. I would rather trust God and do something about change not just meditate for a "like wow" aura.
