Greg Craig, Obama, and Cuba

What do the Clintons, Obama, and the castro's have in common? A lawyer named Greg Craig. Boy, I don't know how I missed this: Clinton Lawyer Who Orchestrated Elian Gonzalez Fiasco Now w/ Obama. That's right, Clinton's paid counsel during the impeachment proceedings, and the lawyer who represented Juan Gonzales, castro in Elian's asylum case, is Obama's foreign policy advisor.

We know Obama said he's in favor of meeting with castro, is he, like Clinton, in ADM's pocket? So far, I haven't found a money trail other than trips on the company's private jets, and a fondness for ethanol, but where there's a castro, you can almost guarantee there is corruption.

Stay tuned.

Chispa- quite the contrary. That "leader," wanted Elian returned, and President Clinton accommodated that wish in violation of law. Even Alan Dershowitz, who I hate to be in agreement with anything, said so on Fox: "In a debate with former Arizona Senator Dennis DeConcini, on the Fox News Channel, Dershowitz pointed out that the correct way for the government to proceed in this matter was to obtain a court order turning over custody of the boy to his father. Had the Miami family refused to obey such an order they would have been in contempt of court. "But I have a reason why they didn't go for a court order," said the million-dollar mouthpiece. "They didn't go for a court order because they knew they couldn't get one."

So instead heavily armed federal agents swarmed out of white vans parked nearby to smash in with a battering ram the front door of the Gonzalez family residence. This illegally, without a proper warrant; they pepper sprayed and terrorized the family and especially Elian who was hiding in a closet, held in the arms of the man who rescued him from the sea. A masked thug pointed a machine gun and snarled, “Give me the f**ng boy. And the “leader” fidel castro got his prize. It is fact that the whole affair was orchastrated by a mass murdering tyrant, not a "leader."

You cannot be serious.

If anything, the Attorney General's biggest mistake was in being too patient with her former neighbors thinking that, if she gave them space, they would obey rule of law in a way that would allow all parties to save face.

Instead they spit in her face and in the process the laws (state and federal) in the process. The Miami community knew that the federal government would have to either capitulate or take Waco like action and in the case of the latter cause a public relations fiasco of creating martyrs.

Of course, the trick is that she ultimatley knew that the neighbors camped out in Little Havana were paper martyrs and would never actually get killed for their country much less a little boy.
