Paraphrasing CNN Headline News: "Reviled by many as a dictator, Castro is also admired by many for bringing about social reforms such as free healthcare and education..."

el chino --
As John Derbyshire once said -- "Wherever there is a jackboot stomping on a human face there will be a well-heeled Western liberal to explain that the face does, after all, enjoy free health care and 100 percent literacy."

Remember how back on November of 1995 (while fifo was visiting New York) our dear Diane Sawyer was tripping over herself trying to rush to fidel’s side exclaiming “fidel, fidel, it’s so good to see you again,” while giving him a resounding kiss on each cheek? Well, I do!

Guys I don't think el Chino was saying he agreed with CNN. He was simply saying that they were guilty too. By the way, we're working on a story about how CNN coached its anchors to treat castro.

Thanks for pointing that out, Henry. I just assumed that people would get how I felt without having to explain... but you know what they say about ass-u-me.

Sawyer a media elitist? Try media prostitute (assuming she ever had any integrity to sell to begin with, or a soul, for that matter). She's right up there with Barbara Walters, even if she didn't accept a gift chandelier from Castro like Walters apparently did.
