Semantics
Just thought I'd offer up a quick vocabulary lesson for all those reporters, journalists, pundits and self-proclaimed Cuba experts out there that keep stating the transition" in Cuba has occurred:
tran·si·tion–noun
1. movement, passage, or change from one position, state, stage, subject, concept, etc., to another; change:
suc·ces·sion
–noun1. the coming of one person or thing after another in order, sequence, or in the course of events:
2. a number of persons or things following one another in order or sequence.
3. the right, act, or process, by which one person succeeds to the office, rank, estate, or the like, of another.
I hope this clears it up for all those out there that see fidel's "retirement" as the dawn of a new day in Cuba. Hopefully they may now be able to go ahead and pull their heads out from their asses.

So based on the MSMs definition Obama should change his campaign slogan to transition as it is no change at all. But in the true meaning it also is a mere transition.

I'm always amused by people who can't balance their checkbook who insist upon giving investment advice and illiterates appealing to semantics - if your reaction to this significant event is driven by a dictionary then you are more the problem than Castro ever was
he has stepped down, can you? or has it been the hate that you have lived for all along, not new Cuba?

n. Overbearing pride or presumption; arrogance
Dios me libre even attempt to show you something that you're unable to grasp.
Perhaps if you read the post another 25 times, you might begin to understand it.
