An anecdote

From Jay Nordlinger's latest column at NRO:

Finally, let me give you a story — or rather, let me relate to you something I overheard. It was during the intermission of a concert. Two women were talking. They didn’t know each other. One of the women was American-born; the other had an accent (and was about 55 years old). The first woman said to the second, “Where are you from?” The accented lady said, “Cuba.” “Oh?” said the American. “Why did you leave?” The second woman said, incredulously, “Castro!”
