Well it looks like Barry Obama, is going to address the Cuban American National Foundation for their luncheon next week celebrating Cuban independence day. Not only that, it seems like they changed the date to accommodate him:
According to Frank Sanchez of Tampa, Obama’s adviser on Latin American affairs, CANF has agreed to alter the date of its annual celebration of Cuban Independence Day, May 20, to hold its celebration luncheon on May 23, during Obama’s May 21-23 tour of Florida. Obama will speak at the lunch.May 20, 1902, was the date Cuba achieved independence from Spain, and tratitionally has been the biggest celebration day of the year for CANF.
CANF spokesmen couldn’t be reached to confirm or deny the report late Wednesday—the organization’s web site still announces the date of the lunch as May 18.
But it seems likely the group’s political loyalty could be up for grabs. Its former executive director, Joe Garcia, is a Democrat, running for Florida’s District 25 U.S. House seat from Miami against Mario Diaz-Balart, one of the staunchest supporters of hard-line anti-Castroism in South Florida.
No word on whether the "reincarnation of JFK" will be bringing the venerable Jeremiah Wright to bless damn America but sure to be there are rose petals and unicorns:

The best thing about the upcoming election is that we're finally going to put to rest the idea of a massive flight to the Democratic party among Cuban-Americans.

Henry,
The CANF keeps sinking to deeper lows....Jorge Mas Canosa must be rolling in his grave.
At this pace the CANF will lose the little support they still had left from the Cuban-American community in South Florida.
I tell you, Jorge Mas Santos and Joe Garcia have done an outstanding job of wrecking the once mighty and powerful CANF with their actions.
Los dos estan como Fifo......."Embarrado en mierda de arriba a abajo".
See you at Cuba Nostalgia this weekend.

As FreedomforCuba says, Jorge Mas Canosa must be rolling in his grave! It's unbelievable how far away from mainstream exile sentiments CANF has moved. With this latest bombshell, at this point, I would say that the gap is nearly unbridgeable. They're closer to Menoyo's "Cambio Cubano" now than they are to the former CANF.
But then again, Jorge Mas Santos never had Cuba in his heart. The man has smeared his father's legacy. He is probably front and foremost a businessman. The first red flag should have been when he sold FREEDOM TOWER for a profit after his father restored the outside of the building with the hopes of turning it into a museum [a las the billionaire Mas Santos didn't think that it was profitable], then he sold the so-called Cuban embassy [the main lobbying office] that CANF had purchased in Washington, D.C. At this point, CANF is nothing more than a shell of what it was that occasionally rattles a chain and gets patted on the head by the mainstream media that simply adores the new and "improved" moderate CANF. MOVE OVER MENOYO! YOU'VE GOT COMPETITION!

Jorge Mas Canosa is doing more than just "rolling" in his grave. He is doing faster pinwheels than a weathervane. The CANF used to be the most feared exile group after Fidel Castro accused them of a campaign of bombings in Havana in the 1990s and various attempts to assassinate him overseas. The CANF has been neutered by Mas Santos.

Henry,
While the CANF is inviting Barack Hussein Osama to that luncheon they should also invite a few more like Charlie Rangel, Jose Serrano, Jeff Flake, Michael Moore, etc, etc, etc, to add to the list of distinguished scumbags.
To top it all they’re doing this on May 20, Cuban Independence Day out of all days?
Definitely all of our heroes who fought for Cuba’s independence from Spain must be rolling in their graves too.
What a disgrace of an event this will be to the Cuban-American community here in South Florida.
I’m about to puke watching the actions of Jorge Mas Santos and Joe Garcia. They have surely disgraced themselves to the Cuban-American community with their actions.
When I thought that I had seen it all from that duo, then they find a way to screw it up even more.

This is outrageous! Is the Reverend Wright going to give the damning, pardon me, the blessing?
Will they be singing "God damn, pardon again, bless America? For shame!

Dignity against money!
A la memoria de Eduardo Chibás, q.e.p.d. To the memory of Eduardo Chibás, RIP.Si hay algun ortodoxo que lea esto sabrá a lo que me refiero.
If there is a member of the old Cuban Orthodox Party, will know what I am talking about.

Folks,
Jorge Mas Santos has kept the name of the CANF alive only for his own nefarious purposes. The only "members" of the foundation are Cuban-American businessmen whose only interest is to make $$$$. These people want to end the embargo to be able to do business in Cuba. Jorge Mas Santos heads the list. unfortunately he doesn't have the same business acumen (or integrity) his father had and as a consequence he has lost lots and lots of money to failed business ventures.
