Killer Jokes

Did you hear about the new restaurant on the moon? Great food, but no atmosphere.

Did you hear about the changes in Cuba? Great reforms, but no freedom.

And so it goes in Cuba, like a bad standup comedy routine by the Unknown Comic—except that the regime’s jokes kill. But unlike the paper bag wearing comic, the monarchical dictatorship in Cuba has gone way past its 15 minutes of fame. And its “bad jokes” has killed tens of thousands of Cubans.

But still, the media laughs.
