Climate change worries
I'm worried. Really worried. This climate change stuff is beginning to take its toll on me now with the news that Jupiter (the planet, not the city in Florida) is experiencing it too:
Jupiter's recent outbreak of red spots is likely related to large scale climate change as the gas giant planet is getting warmer near the equator.
Holy crap! What the hell are these Jupiterians driving?! I gotta get me one of those!

I understand skepticism of climate change - especially when it comes to policy making, which is often neither efficient nor cost-effective. And I understand that science is always subject to historical fallibility (please spare me the quotation from the article), but to disagree with an overwhelming consensus solely on the grounds that science is sometimes wrong, is pretty ludicrous. The evidence is overwhelming, so if you're going to attack the issue, attack how it's being handled (see: Environmental Economics).
"But there is a scientific consensus on the reality of anthropogenic climate change. Climate scientists have repeatedly tried to make this clear. It is time for the rest of us to listen."

Mike, climate change is real. That man causes it is not. It is the height of arrogance to assume that homo sapiens sapiens, who has been on this planet maybe for a half million years, and only in the last 200 of those years has been in an industrial mode, can affect the climate of a planet that produces volcanoes capable of spewing more noxious gas into the atmosphere in one eruption than we are capable of doing in 100 years. Spare me the wacko nonsense. There are many Ph.D. climatologists who would disagree with your assessment. Are you a climatologist?
