Yesterday in the straits of Florida
These pictures were taken by a Babalu reader who was returning from a 7-day cruise.

As you can see the Coast Guard came along before long.

Smuggling??!?!?!?!? These poor sould were trying to look for freedom. I got my eyes on this story....

no, they didn't make it to shore... sadly.
It was an amazing sight to see... it was so awful.
We were on the ship literally throwing bottled water from the balconies to their vessel.
finally, the crew of our ship gave them food and water.
also, large Mahi Mahi began to show up in large schools... what a sight.
the family of the rafters have been notified by me, we called them once the rafters started to give us the families phone numbers here in Miami. I just came from the families home, I went to show them all the pictures I had taken.
the family is still trying to figure out where they went, the coast guard won't tell them the exact location.
