Idiot Spanish Mayor defends Guevara Sculpture

One can only hope the piece ends up like this one in Argentina:

Che-Rosario.jpg

Or this one in Venezuela

The collective cognitive dissonance that so many engage in to maintain the illusion (in one's own mind) that Che Guevara was anything more than a terrorist thug and mass murderer is sufficient to provide all of NYC's energy needs for the next 100 years.

What a joke Western civilization has become...

Form a citizens militia, round up those responsible for erecting the statue, jail them for a night, shoot them at dawn.

If that is what they venerate - then they should have no problem with the above.

I guess in the end - the Spanish are just still angered by the fact that they lost their Cuban colony way back in 1898. In a way - they figure - "if we can't rule the Cuban people with an iron fist, we'll simply support another thug who will give those nasty little colonials their just desserts."

A couple of the guys interviewed in the Spanish piece had pretty distinct Cuban accents, both apparently in favor of the sculpture's presence. Didn't know there were Cuban communists in Galicia. Sheesh.
