Spies among us
In the Miami Herald today we are informed that there are more than 200 spies from the Cuban dictatorship among us. According to Lt. Col. Chris Simmons, it did not take the regime long to get its espionage operations back up after the capture of the Wasp Network in 1998.
Lt. Col. Chris Simmons, an Army counterintelligence officer, told The Miami Herald that within nine to 18 months of the network's 1998 dismantling, the number of Cuban agents and intelligence officers in the state was back up to pre-Wasp Network levels -- or about 210.
I would venture to say that the number of spies mentioned by Lt. Col. Simmons is a conservative figure. If you add in all the others that provide aid and assistance to the regime and its spies in exchange for a free vacation in Cuba and a couple of jineteras (or jineteros), the number would probably rise well into the thousands.

No doubt a number of those spies work within the ranks of American academia, some with names familiar to us all [yes, I'm talking about those Cuba experts that we all know about], and others work within the ranks of the mainstream media. Yes, I'm talking about those odious reporters [including--POSSIBLY-- one that has an uncanny resemblance to a certain four-legged farm animal with a long face].

Lt. Col. Simmons agreed to be a guest on the Babalu Radio Hour in the upcoming weeks. I'm working on the date so keep your eyes open-- this should be fantastic!

Never have I felt I could have the confidence of every Cuban in a meeting of a political nature. Unless I've known that person from childhood - I don't trust them. I hate to sound paranoid but you get the sense that if they aren't everywhere, they certainly are where the action is.
