Dream Havana Wins Award
Gary Marks' documentary, Dream Havana, has won the Audience Award for Best Documentary at the Chicago Latino Film Festival.

Hello everyone,I'm proud to announce that at this year's Chicago Latino Film Festival, Dream Havana was chosen as winner of the
Audience Award for Best Documentary. We're very pleased about the prize, both because of the importance of the festival and because it was awarded by the film going public. On another note, this Sunday, 8PM Eastern Time on Channel 41 in Miami, I will appear on "La Mirada Indiscreta" or
"The Indiscrete Look". The half hour show is hosted by Cuban film and entertainment critic Alejandro Rios and will consist of clips from Dream Havana along with me doing my best to appear calm while I attempt to answer Alejandro's questions in my most intelligent and intelligible Spanish (gulp!).I hope you or someone you know in Miami will tune in.
Take care,
Gary Marks

I had the pleasure of meeting Gary at this year's Cuba Nostalgia where he joined us at the Babalu kiosk. We are all very happy that his film has gotten the recognition it deserves. If you still haven't seen it, click the image above to go to the film's website and check it out.
Congratulations, Gary!
