A history of generosity

The generous reforms decreed recently by the munificent prince raul are apparently not the first time the dictatorial monarchy has shown its generosity to its subjects. From this article in today's Sun-Sentinel addressing the latest farming reforms by the crown prince, we learn that soon after the triumph of the revolution, the regime exhibited its ability to be magnanimously generous.

Cuba seized land from most large farms after the 1959 revolution, but allowed thousands of small farmers to keep their plots and sell their produce to the state.

What a benevolent and large-hearted gesture on part of the regime to actually allow farmers to keep land they already own.
