Congressional Socialist Dems are a Bunch of Pansies & Wussies
As a follow up to my post yesterday about Pelosi being a chicken sh*t San Francisco Grand Dame Lame Ass Limosine Liberal who is refusing to allow a vote on oil drilling comes another great article in today's WSJ. What are these Dems afraid of? Wussies I say. A bunch of lame ass wussies. But they'll vote to tax the crap out of you and they'll vote for equal protection for transgendered guinea pigs. But not something that is vital to national security. Go Figure!
Democrats Against Drilling July 24, 2008Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid and other liberal leaders on Capitol Hill are gripped by cold-sweat terror. If they permit a vote on offshore drilling, they know they will lose when Blue Dogs and oil-patch Democrats defect to the GOP position of increasing domestic energy production. So the last failsafe is to shut down Congress.
Majority Leader Reid has decided that deliberation is too taxing for "the world's greatest deliberative body." This week he cut off serious energy amendments to his antispeculation bill. Then Senate Appropriations baron Robert Byrd abruptly canceled a bill markup planned for today where Republicans intended to press the issue. Mr. Byrd's counterpart in the House, David Obey, is enforcing a similar lockdown. Speaker Pelosi says she won't allow even a debate before Congress's August recess begins in eight days.
She and Mr. Reid are cornered by substance. The upward pressure on oil prices is caused by rising world-wide consumption and limited growth in supplies. Yet at least 65% of America's undiscovered, recoverable oil, and 40% of its natural gas, is hostage to the Congressional drilling moratorium.
The Democratic leadership is trying to smother any awareness of their responsibility for high prices. They are also trying to quash a revolt among Democrats who realize that the country is still dependent on fossil fuels, no matter how loudly quasimystical environmentalists like Al Gore claim otherwise.
Oh any one more thing while I'm talking about energy, recent study shows that the arctic has enough oil reserves to serve the entire world for three years. Now imagine how long that could serve the interests of the United States? Read it here.
But the lame ass dems cannot see beyond the election. They can't see that they need to act for our future. It's more important to them to get a putz elected into the white house than it is to help all of us from $ 4 a gallon and higher gas prices.

I'm surprised that Ocaca is getting so much support when we have a democratic congress which dropped the ball numerous times and refuses to face the cold hard facts...Wouldn't it be easy to assume that with a lame duck congress and a rookie president we would just get more of the same do nothings in Congress and the White House.
Also let me get this straight, congress refuses to do anything about oil prices, which if nothing is done, will only go higher. They refuse to face the facts that alternative fuels are not up to par to meet U.S. demands so for the time bieng (next ten to 20 years) we still need oil. Then you have Ocaca who really thinks that tax increases and increases in capital gains will do anything for this country besides giving away money to people who really don't deserve it. WTF, are American people thinking. Trust these same idiots who support Ocaca now, will be screaming bloody murder when they see thier tax bills. Oh don't get me started on the bullshit stimulus checks......
