Obama's Chicago Most Nanny City and Miami & Vegas Least Nanny Cities

Got to love it fellow infidels. The lefty libs who always trash our South Florida homeland are gonna love this.

Of the most regulated nanny cities in the USA, Chicago ranks at 35 as being the most regulated in every aspect of your life and business. In other words, the worst city for personal freedoms.

Las Vegas is at number 1 and Miami at number 2 for the least regulated. this will make the liberals furious as they are dying to regulate everyone's bodily functions, eating habits, smoking habits, entertainment, dating habits, and blogging. Vegas and Miami are tops in personal freedom. So much for the lefty cuban hating bloggers and nimwits out there that call Miami a "banana republic."

I'm outta here.

Not to fear Cigar Mike, they'll find other reasons to denigrate our fair city.

I wonder if anyone will do a comparative study now, about crime or economics comparing the most nanny cities to the least nanny cities.

I'm so damned glad I live in Miami!!!!

Chicago - a city plagued with poverty, rampant corruption, murder, unemployment, – you think the housing market is bad where you are? Think again. Nevertheless, in Chicago a taxpayer’s money is better-spent passing ordinances such as banning foie gras, discussing banning transfats from restaurants and outdoor smoking. They can’t allow people to eat what they want; why they may just demand to think and say what they want and where would that leave those benevolent progressives.

Tati, much of what you say about Chicago is true, however, you're wrong about the real estate market. I'm an appraiser here. While some areas of the city are in decline, much of the city has held it's value quite well. These high fuel prices will do even more to maintain values as Chicago has a good public transportation system.

Kutas - send me your business name and i'll forward it to a few folks that have relocated to northern va and aren't even able to rent their homes in chicago. From their vantage point it's not a pretty picture in spite of the public transportation system.

That's a very nice picture of the Miami skyline. No disrespect to your work, but is the reflection of the lights on the water added on later?

I live up in NYC area and I can't understand this "nanny" tag. (yes, I did read the article.) And to my dear miami friends and family, I will take nanny new york over the spanish roof tiled monotony of greater miami any day. lol

j2tharome the reflections are real. This is a 3 image HDR image taken at multiple exposures and blended together which gives it the neon look.

Cucuruchu NYC was much better 15 years ago during the Rudy administration. I could smoke cigars in the Soho bars and anywhere I went and never got hassled. Bloomberg sent it all to hell.
